The President’s heartbeat: mermaid wife is adorable

Chapter 26 Warmth

The man bent down, and with his powerful arms, swept the girl up. The next second, the whole person fell steadily into the man’s arms.

Lan Duo Duo’s little hand naturally encircled the man’s neck, fluffy little head rubbing on the man’s chest.

She liked being held by Jun Yue, really liked it. Whenever he held her in his arms, she had the distinct feeling of a peaceful mind, as if if the sky fell down, he would hold it up for her.

Eyes filling with warmth, Jun Yue looked down at the little girl in his arms.

However when he looked up again, the warmth in the depth of his eyes was replaced by a heart palpitating coldness.

“Who asked you to give her a wheelchair!”

Each word of the man was filled with coldness. His little guy just didn’t know how to walk, not crippled!

If she couldn’t walk, he could teach her step by step, even hold her.

This little girl didn’t know anything. She didn’t know who sat in a wheelchair. Maybe she didn’t even know what a wheelchair was, so it was only possible that they were the ones who gave it to her.

Perhaps even Jun Yue didn’t know, that in his heart, he had taken this little girl as the most precious of existence.

As a result, he couldn’t tolerate any wrong or mistake done to her at all.

“Young Master.” Xiaolan and Xiaonuo’s bodies shook, and they hanged their heads, afraid to speak.

They only heard the cold and chilly voice come again: “She isn’t crippled. The next time you do this kind of thing, you’ll get out of the Jun Villa.”

With that said, he turned back in the direction of the hall with the little fellow who was as quiet as a cat in his arms.

Xiaolan and Xiaonuo breathed out sighs of relief.

They thought they’d get fired, didn’t expect that the Young Master would let them go this time.

What they didn’t know was that just as Jun Yue had been ready to fire them, Lan Duo Duo gently tugged at his lapel, and whispered in his arms: ‘Jun Yue, I’m hungry.’

This made Jun Yue change his mind.

He knew that this little girl was trying to plead for them, but dared not say it directly, so she just said so.

“Jun Yue, why can’t I be in the wheelchair?” She asked strangely.

Jun Yue looked at the pink and tender little person in his arms, and his eyes flashed: “Because wheelchairs are for those who are disabled, or people with mobility difficulties sit in them.”

“What is a disabled person?” Lan Duo Duo asked again.

“Disabled people are people who lack arms and/or can’t use their legs.”

“Oh, oh.” Lan Duo Duo nodded and said, “Then I can’t move too.”

She pointed to her legs.

Falling after taking less than three steps, that was no different from having difficulties with mobility.

A shallow smile surfaced in his black eyes: “You’re not a disabled person, nor are you a person with limited mobility. Besides, why do you need that kind of thing when you have me?”

Lan Duo Duo’s heart gushed with a warm current, and her sea blue eyes flashed with stars: “Jun Yue.”

“Hmm?”

“Will you teach me to walk?”

“Okay.”

She buried her little face in the man’s strong chest, and felt the strong heartbeat coming from his chest.

For a moment, Lan Duo Duo seemed to feel that the frequency of her heartbeat was almost the same as the man’s.

After a few seconds of silence, the voice of the little girl, as thin as a mosquito’s, came out of the man’s arms again.

“Jun Yue, Xiaolan said, today is the first time you’ve came back so early.”

“En.”

“Xiaolan said, you came back so early because of me.”

“En.” Another shallow response.

Lan Duo Duo looked up, sea blue eyes filling with a bright light of joy.
